Re: stretch
Also, can the following items be stretched and how? 1. Line 2. Wall 3. Symbol HighDesign does not provide a "Stretch" command (yet), that is a command used to move some objects and stretch any other connected objects. An example would be moving the side of a polygon producing a deformatio...

Re: HD features
1. Is there a way to make a polyline? You can make polygons and polylines with straight segments. Mixed lines and splines aren't available. 2. Is there a feature like Autocad 'paintbrush'? I suppose you are referring to the ability of pasting properties between objects. If that's the case, then yes...

Leader texts can be inserted via the Radial Dimension tool. If you click over a circle or arc, that tool inserts a dimension associated with that object. If you click on a blank point or a non-circular object, you insert a leader label. Once inserted, text and graphic properties can be edited via th...

Some mouse models use the Shift key to toggle between vertical and horizontal scrolling. The Mighty Mouse does not need this since it has horizontal scrolling built-in, but other hardware vendors either provide a (somewhat) four-direction scroll wheel or use the Shift key as a workaround, which typi...

We are still testing HighDesign on the new iMacs and will post the results as soon as they are ready. As far as we know, the performance of the new iMac and the MacBook Pro should be just about the same since they use the same chip. Of course, the performance gain over the previous models will be mu...

Hello and welcome the the HighDesign forums! Windows and doors are objects controlled by the corresponding property panels, so although the list of basic types includes 8 items, you have many degrees of freedom to create your own type. No object in HighDesign makes use of GDL or a scripting language...

How do I set a drawing scale smaller than 1:1?
Drawing scales smaller than 1:1 are usually displayed as 2:1, 5:1, etc. In HighDesign, you can set any drawing scale larger than 0. That means you can set a scale of, say, 1:0.5. Here's how to do that: 1. Choose Drawing > Change Drawing Scale... or click the scale button on the lower hand side of th...
