Dunno if this is a useful tip, but I do dated revisions and notes to myself (layer name is "FIX THIS", lol) on their own layers.
Am I missing the point of a revision cloud?

nifty window, door & railing trick
Just had a "duh" moment. I've saved a bunch of doors, windows & railing elevations as symbols. When I place them over siding, I must explode & start 'cutting' out spots where it overlaps the siding. I just added a white fill behind the footprint of a window elevation & moved it...

creating new sheets
Not a big rush, just a 'nice to have' when creating new sheets: if I have an existing sheet highlighted in the sheet list when I click to add a sheet, it would be nice to have the attributes of the sheet copied (so I don't have to set the page size & show margins). It seems to copy scale, just n...

project timer
This isn't a huge deal, but would be nice if it's easy... the ability to reset the Project Time (in Document Properties) to Zero. I've created a starter drawing set with layers, lines, walls, text, title block, sheets, views & stuff that I use as a base for all new projects. Problem is that I ge...

Yeah, I have default layers with colors, but I'm thinking of making a master document that has something set up like this, then merge it: * window/door layer with some of my standard doors /window sizes on it * walls layer with my 2 standard wall sizes on it * foundation layer with my common hatches...

Hmm, this really got me thinking - beat the system!! I'm going to try this: make a standard file with my standard layers. each layer has the line color/weight or wall, hatch, etc I always have on that layer. Save the document. Then start every new drawing with a copy of that doc. Or maybe merge it i...

edit dimensions - to custom text
I need to change a bunch of dimensions to custom text. I'd like to open the dimension window, then click, edit & apply each dimension one by one, but I have to close the dimension window each time, then re-open it. Has anyone found a way to leave the dims edit window open & click through ite...

aligned dimension text + mixed drawing units
I just tried to align the text of a few selected (vertical) dimensions horizontally. It aligned *all* of my dims on all layers (even invisible layers) horizontally! I cancelled, made sure I only selected the 3 dims I wanted to realign, but the same thing happened. Can we get the align (vertical/alig...
