another layer pallette wish

One more enhancement if we get a floating layer palette. I use a lot of layers while I'm drawing (up to 45 - yikes) & spend a lot of time scrolling through the list looking for the layers I'm currently working with. If we can get the floating layer palette, I'd like a clickable option to sort th...

favorite things pallette

I'll throw another wish into the mix ~ I use the same lines/hatches/walls over and over. It would love to have a 'favorites' pallette where I could save these items & switch between them with one click. For instance, I use the following items for 95% of my drawing effort: * solid line, weights 1...

Well, sort of. Imagine this scenario. You have a box made of 4 lines, filled with a hatch. You then decide that you want it to be a rectangle instead. Stretch would let you select one side of the square to stretch, say 2 feet. Stretch would lengthen the lines that were attached to the line you 'move...

stretch

Peatle, it's the concept of moving nodes, or stretching items a given length. Here's my original post that stirred up the pot over in the user forum: Is there a way to move nodes of a line/wall/polygon/etc? For instance, my client decided to extend the length of his house by 4'. I'd love to select a...

move nodes?

Hi all, Is there a way to move nodes of a line/wall/polygon/etc? For instance, my client decided to extend the length of his house by 4'. I'd love to select all the nodes in the back end of the house & move them 4', thus extending all of the walls and line endpoints that are captured in the sele...

oh ! OK Erin I reread you r post and I tnink now that anything over 18 X 24 you have to feed into a slot sheet by sheet, so there is no actual tray, is that correct ? peatle, yes, that's how i'm reading it. I'll be manually feeding my pages over 24". See if HP.com charges more for Canada. They...

peatle, here's the info from the HP site: Base model (24 in) with 70-sheet input tray for up to 18 x 24 in sheets, slot for up to 24 x 64 in single sheets so anything over 18" width is manual feed. I opted for this approach due to $$$. I'll probably purchase the roll feeder/cutter in a few mont...

print as PDF oddities

My printing company is having a heck of a time with my PDF files. I've tried many permutations, but dimensions randomly disappear, even though they show up when you view the PDF on screen. If I recall correctly, it's usually vertical dimensions that disappear. Im assuming it's their print driver. Se...

If anyone else is interested in the HP DesignJet 130, HP is selling it refurbished on their site for $877.25! That's $418 off their regular price. Free Ground shipping (I'm in California). Note that this is for the 130 model, not the 130NR (which has the roll paper feed). Three cheers for the intern...

ha, no! The computer can suck me in for hours at a time too. Do you use 24x36 precut sheet? Good to know that you got rid of your roll, it looks like the 130 is $600 less than the 130nr model!

thank you Steven, that's the exact model I've had my eye on. I'm assuming you have the 130NR with the roll feed?

plotter recommendations

I'm thinking of purchasing an inkjet plotter, any recommendations? Or any absolute - NO WAY models? I trust your experiences over the info on the HP, Canon and Epson web sites! I need 24" width, USB, able to print on vellum & plain paper...it can be monochrome. The most important thing, of ...

Save Copy As

The ability to save a COPY of the file you're working in with a different name. This will let me save hard backup versions without renaming the file I am currently working in.
