Re: highdesign 2017 - first try
I am still finding many frustration in the general UI. I still don't have any confidence what the next click will do. And if that click results in something you don't want, don't expect Undo to come to your rescue. Here's an example of the kind of thing that drives me nuts ;-) every time I use HD: D...

Re: HighDesign 2017.1 BETA 4
I've briefly tested Beta 8 and it appears to have fixed the greyed out DWG issue for me.

Re: HighDesign 2017.1 BETA 4
No change from Beta 4 for me. Exactly the same issues, the same DWGs are found by spotlight search in the import dialogue box, and vice versa. When not using search the DWGs that can be found by spotlight are not greyed out, all others are -- even ones created by HD. When searching via spotlight in ...

Re: HighDesign 2017.1 BETA 4
Same here too, DWGs are greyed out. I have discovered another strange issue related to importing DWG files. I created a test DWG document from HD and called it "TEST.DWG". I searched for that file in the open dialogue box in HighDesgin 2017.1 BETA 4 (Including "Name matches: Test"...

Re: Mac OS Sierra
A couple of bugs I've noticed in the first 2 minutes of use with Sierra... 1. If you use spotlight/search inside an open dialogue, any found HD documents are greyed out and can't be opened. 2. If you duplicate an object then try and edit the duplicate with the info palette, changing the point will m...

Re: unable to paste objects onto a new layer
I get the objects pasted to "Layer 0" too, but it's selectable and doesn't then disappear. In the drawing manager dialogue box, it also shows Layer 0 and is responsive. BTW The object counts in the drawing manager are still as inaccurate as ever. I created a new document, cut an object fro...

Re: exporting to pdfs
Yes, exporting to PDF is totally broken for me too. You can set any paper size if you go to page setup then select the custom paper size. You can enter any dimensions you like in there, regardless of whether your printer supports that page size or not. You can set the printer to "Any Printer&qu...

Re: Centre Marks
I think I will just use good old fashioned centre lines instead!

Centre Marks
Hello I've recently switched to HD from VW. The simplified tool set is quite refreshing, but after being a VW (and MiniCad before it) user for so long, you do tend to miss the odd tool. One such tool is the centre mark tool. In VW you click anywhere on an object to create a centre mark. The centre m...
