New Features
- Added Rulers with support for quick unit switching, origin setting and selection bounds display.
- Added a Shortcuts preference panel to customise menu and tool shortcuts (Pro)
- New Rectangle tool, supports edges, fill and transparency.
- New Line By Center tool.
- Photogrammetry now supports hatches.
- Sheet frames now show the current printer margins.
- In Trial mode, it is now possible to choose which edition, Standard or Pro, to run.
- Hatch patterns can now have an offset relative to the hatch origin.
- Make Slide tool now supports default linetypes.
- Added automatic checking for updates on launch.
Changes
- The image of Picture objects is now selectable only with the arrow tool.
- Pushing the Tab key to cycle over input types now accepts the value the user entered in the previous input field.
- Bezier curve: editing one of the endpoints moves the corresponding control point as well.
- Radial dimensions: the dialog shown to select the type of information to be displayed no longer disables one check-box.
- Text box fill color and transparency are now available in the Standard edition.
- Saved drawings now open in a zoom-to-fit view.
Optimizations and Improvements
- Snap to objects is now up to twice as faster.
- Application size is about 10 MB smaller.
- The Extrude tool now fully supports freehand and bezier curves, arcs, circles and ellipses.
- The Split tool can now cut lines over polygons, hatches, rectangles, circles and curves.
- X and Y values can now be set also by clicking an object.
- Hatches now support snapping to edges if visible, and snapping to object body with the arrow tool when filled with a solid color.
- Angular dimensions now support arcs.
- Rotated texts no longer get blurred.
- When changing the drawing scale or resizing it is now possible to choose to not scale texts.
- Get/Set attributes now supports wall specific properties.
- Find Intersections now supports hatch objects.
- Improved the multiple bezier curves tool.
- Improved the appearance of bezier curves and speeded up the redraw.
- The Scale Drawing dialog now supports all object types when setting the new size by actual dimensions.
- Updated many icons and interface items.
- The Move tool now shows the offset line when moving more than 50 objects.
- Moving a door by a definte distance now shows the movement only along the door's parent wall.
Bug Fixes
- The Split tool did not set the correct cursor when used with click-drag.
- Holding Shift while setting the start point of a new object at a distance from a datum point no longer cancels the action.
- Extrude: undo/redo now works correctly on both the extrusion lines and the extruded object.
- Hatches created by the Hatch Selection command no longer add an extra point at (0,0)
- Freehand: editing the first endpoint shifted all other points as well.
- Some DXF files could not be loaded because of an error in the file type detection.
- DXF input: texts with non-ascii characters now load correctly
- DXF output: no longer ignores text style attributes.
- DXF output: the width of text blocks is now saved correctly.
- DXF output: non-ascii characters are now exported with the correct encoding.
- Exploded doors now include the swing arc.
- DXF output: vertical arcs of 180 degrees no longer get exported as circles.
- DXF output: doors now retain the swing arc.
- Freehand lines with a pen weight larger than 1 no longer draw corrupt points.
- DXF: text size is more accurate in both output and input.
- Angular dimensions: when drawing the complementary arc the displayed angle was incorrect.
- Fixed some interface glitches in the Quick Reference palette.
- Dimensions now honor the default text style properties. Previously they were only available on editing.
- Snap to rotated ellipses and arcs of ellipse now works correctly.
- Round and square columns showed a too much large hatch.
- Round columns did not honor the pen-weight property.
- Editing a wall by the properties dialog no longer resets the wall's pen weight property.
- Setting the attributes of a window/door by the Set Attributes command now updates the object right away.
- Fixed a possible cause of inability to save an opened file because of an error -1, raised when the file did not reside on the same volume as the application or had a name longer than 31 characters.
- Symbol Settings dialog: fixed an issue that kept it from updating the selected symbol.
- Fixed a problem with fractional units that caused values written with no fractional part (i.e. 10 instead of 10-0) to be interpreted as zero.
- (Pro): symbols no longer print dimmed if the "Dim Lower Sheets" option was selected.
- (Pro): Create Slide tool no longer skips some items.
- The Suspend Undo option did not allow the refresh of new items.
- With some conditions, circles could be drawn as points by the polar multiply tool.
- Find Intersection tool did not find the intersection between a line and a bezier if the line did not actually cross the bezier.
- Explode hatches did not honor the Scalable attribute.
- The first item of a multiple linear dimension is now displayed while being drawn.
- DXF: TEXT entities are now imported with the right-sized bounding box.
- Editing a text at a zoom larger than 100% no longer opens a too much tall field.
- Selected windows could show two selection points in the wrong location.
- Moving a door by a defined distance could cause an infinite loop and application crash.
- Print: Print Areas spanning over two or more pages no longer cut off parts of the drawing on the pages following the first.
