New Features
- Added a Transfer to New Sheet menu item under the Organize > Transfer menu.
- Labels of linear dimensions can be displayed aligned or horizontal.
- Added a Duplicate Items To Sheet command inside the Organize menu.
- It is now possible to set the angle of an object relative to an existing line. Press "A", insert the angle and then click on the datum line.
- Text height of tolerances in dimensions can now be adjusted by the user. Height is relative to the main dimension label.
- New Angular Dimension tool allows you to measure arcs.
- You can now enter co-ordinates and property values (x, y, L, A) by pushing the TAB key and cycling through data types.
- Added support for click-drag drawing mode.
- Symbols now provide an "Object Data" property for storing information associated with the symbol, any of its views and any instance placed on the drawing.
Miscellaneous Improvements
- Drawing Manager, Linetypes panel: it is now possible to edit a custom linetype.
- Linetypes: added a distinction between temporary lines imported from documents and custom lines created by the user and saved on disk. In the Drawing Manager window, the background color for temporary linetypes is blue for temporary linetypes and yellow for custom lines.
- The linetypes table inside the Drawing Manager window now shows the line index and a help tag with the line name.
- Custom linetypes can now be renamed via the Name field inside the Drawing Manager window.
- The default threshold for minimum grid size displayed is now four pixels instead of ten. This allows setting the grid size to 1/8'' at a 1:1 scale.
- The Drawing Manager dialog now opens a Save Changes dialog before closing with unsaved changes to a linetype or hatchtype.
- Table rows in the Export Sheets dialog are not selectable, and clicking a row now toggles the row checkbox state.
- Added a separator before the Preferences menu item.
- Endpoints of angular dimensions are now editable.
- Localization files are now encoded as UTF16.
- The red dots inside doors with missing parent wall do not get printed.
- The Preferences window now remembers which pane was last selected by the user.
- The Change Length function now supports undo / redo.
- Multiple linear dimensions can be aligned (rotated).
- Polygon tool: segments of a polygon being traced now redraw without overlaying on screen.
- The arrow tool now supports editing of the vertices of a polygon object.
- The Text Options dialog has been redesigned to show the new properties for border and fill of background graphics.
- The layer "HighDesign" (# 00) can now be renamed.
- OS X: construction lines are now displayed as ghost lines (semi-transparent) rather than dotted.
- Text printing: rotated texts no longer print over a white rectangle.
- The Arrow tool now activates the Autoscrolling.
- Arrow Selection: the Arrow tool now follows the user's preference for drawing mode (click-drag or click-click)
- Drawing Manager: the Layers table now allows multiple selections and layer editing.
- Text Tool: insertion no longer requires a modal dialogue. Text is now inserted by drawing the block bounds rectangle.
- Text Tool: multi-line text blocks can now be rotated.
- Text Tool: added fill & border color and transparency properties for backgrounds.
- The Text Options dialog has been redesigned to show the new properties for border and fill of background graphics.
- Text Tool Dialog: the text size field and pop-up menu now remember which unit was last chosen.
- When setting the length of an object, it is now possible to click a line to copy its length.
- Corrupted text blocks no longer get imported into the drawing.
- DXF Input: improved conversion of text fonts.
- Orthogonal dashed lines no longer have antialiasing.
- Dimension labels and print area titles are now encoded as UTF16.
- It is now possible to set the Angle constraint before drawing an item. Pushing Return or clicking on a void point of the drawing sets the absolute angle; clicking a linear objects sets the relative angle.
- Correct Orientation tool: removed the confirm dialog and improved the interface.
- Language preferences are now saved into a separate file placed inside the Application Support folder.
- Dotted grid lines now redraw much faster (again).
- The grid now has its origin in the absolute origin of the drawing. Moving the origin shifts the grid as well.
Bug Fixes
- The mouse cursor did not always change to the arrow when exiting the drawing area.
- Fixed a problem that caused non-rotated pictures to not being printed.
- The linetypes pop-up menu now displays again the help tag with the current linetype name.
- The default button on the Create Slide dialod read to "Choose" instead of "Make slide"
- The Export to DXF 2000 menu item was enabled when the Slide window was in the foreground.
- Save As JPEG dialog: the preview box did not properly display pictures smaller than the box.
- The Load Linetype button in the Drawing Manager Linetypes panel caused an internal error.
- Setting a hatch vertex on a circumference could generate an error and set bad coordinates for the vertex if the hatch segment was tangent to the circle.
- Dotted grid lines redraw faster.
- The Export Sheets dialog opened by the Export to DXF dialog did not always respect the Cancel button.
- Print Areas could print blank pages in some particular cases.
- Undo/Redo did not respect the door's opening side.
- Menu and toolbar items Rotate, Rotate by Angle, Mirror and Mirror a Copy were enabled when only a Print Area was selected.
- Cancelling X or Y while tracing a line caused a screen refresh error.
- Pressing the A key now visually pushes the Angle button.
- Changing drawing scale with selected items resized those items as well, even if they were on a different sheet.
- It is was possible to create a linear dimension with coincident endpoints (point).
- Arrows are now only displayed with correct entities.
- Quitting the application with changes already saved and the cursor inside the main window caused an ID02 error.
- Fixed a problem that prevented the tangent point to an arc/circle from being calculated.
- Choosing Multiply via the Drawing menu item and then cancelling did not reset the tool to its normal state.
- Some objects may get too high an ID number. This caused some problems of objects not being displayed.
- Scrolling while drawing a rotated rectangle did not update the start co-ordinates of the rectangle.
- Setting the length of the side of a rotated rectangle did not follow the direction rectangle.
- Scrolling while drawing a continuous bezier did not update the co-ordinates of the last tangent in the previous segment.
- Rotate and Mirror tools could cause an infinite loop if the user clicked twice the same point.
- Arcs, Circles and Polygons had a ghost point on (0,0) which made the object selectable by dragging the arrow tool over (0,0).
- The "Default Window Size" command no longer resizes the window behind the Dock.
- Long lines could disappear with high zoom factors.
- The printing process could hang after sending the data to the printer. This problem occurred inconsistently, more often on Mac OS 9.
- Radial dimension tool: when not used on a circle, it did not display the custom text entered by the user.
- Print Area tool: allowed autoscrolling while the input dialog was open.
- On OS X, printed oblique lines were heavier than those orthogonal.
- Duplicating, multiplying and copy-mirroring groups no longer makes confusion with selections.
- Windows and doors now try restoring the link with the parent wall if the original connection was lost. The red dots now should show up much less frequently.
- Cancelling the current action while using the Text tool no longer disables the tool.
- Deselecting the "Apply to selection" checkbox in the Dimensions dialogue no longer causes an incorrect refresh of some buttons.
- Text tool: text editing no longer appends an extra character.
- Text tool: style changes are now applied correctly.
- Concentric circles were off balance on the right+bottom quarter.
- Polar Multiply/Distribute: clicking twice on the start point is now interpreted as a 360 degree rotation.
- Undo / Redo: fixed a problem with insering and deleting doors.
- Arcs no longer generate a loop if the start and end angles have bad values.
- The "Save a backup copy" option caused an unexpected errorif the destination folder was locked.
- Editing a text did not enable the Save menu item.
- DXF: importing texts from blocks now scales the size correctly.
- Arcs printed on OS X now have the correct weight with pens lower than 4.
- Fixed a problem with line clipping that caused some lines to draw with inverted coordinates.
- [BUG] Editing a radial dimension did not enable the Save menu item.
- Editing a dimension's label containing non-ascii characters corrupted the document.
- Holding Shift while dragging a selection rectangle no longer forces the direction.
- Columns and square columns did not set their bounds.
- Square columns could not be rotated.
- Fixed a problem with increasing file size of projects containing dimensions with custom labels. This problem was introduced in fc1.
- Symbols: fixed a possible cause of problems reading older symbols.
- Text Dialog: checking the Apply to Selection checkbox and changing the graphics box left the initial box selected.
- Setting the custom text of a radial dimension and then unchecking that option did not restore the original label contents.
- Copy & Paste could write and load the items in an incorrect format that in some cases could lead to a crash.
- Rotated texts no longer trim the bottom of the last line.
