velocità su G5 - Speed on G5

sto provando intensamente HD su un G5 per valutarne l'acquisto. ho notato che la velocità di scorrimento (PAN) , zoom, selezione di oggetti e in generale il software risulta un po lento, nonstante il G5 si un 2x1.8 con 1.25 gb di ram sis 10.4.2, in pratica usandolo cin un minimac sembra essere + veloce il mini. ho provato anche a cambiare i settaggi di HD ma niente. come può essere? non ho cose strane installe sul G5.

I am evaluating HighDesign on a G5, and I have noticed that scrolling speed (PAN), zoom, object selection and the overall software performance are a bit slow, although the G5 is a dual 1.8 GHz with 1.25GB RAM on Mac OS 10.4.2. In fact, on a Mac Mini HighDesign seems to be faster. I've tried changing the settings to no avail. How can it be? I have no strange things installed on the G5.

sembra meglio ma è come se si rallentasse per via di qualche chiamata al disco che lo rallenta.

I have speed problem too.
Working on an iMac G5 20" with 2 Gb Ram !!
Paning and re-drawing is quite slow when a lot of text blocks are in the drawing.
Also generally slow when working on large drawings.

volevo sapere a che punto siete con il problema della lentazza su G5. ho continuato ad usare la demo beta ma rimane il problema del pan e zoom.

Stiamo facendo dei test e revisionando il codice, e ci aiuterebbe avere qualche dettaglio in più: per esempio, il problema è limitato solo a certi progetti? Cancellare tutti i testi migliora la velocità?

We are doing some tests and reviewing the code, and it would be helpful if you, and anybody who's experiencing the same issue, could provide more details. For instance, is it limited to certain projects? Does deleting all texts improve the speed?

vi do qualche info in +, ovviamente è relativa alla versione demo fc4 e con i file di esempio.
lavorando su un file grande (ie: ho decuplicato la pianta dell'esempio floor plan) il soft è andato in tilt: molto lento, problemi con lo snap ( arriva in ritardo), pan e zoom molto lenti. problemi con la rotellina del mouse per zoomare.

lavoro su g5 2x1,8 ram 1.25 gb osx 1.4.2 java ultima relais con ati rv 360 128 mb.
spero di esservi di aiuto.
