I searching this forum, it appears this was brought up in 2008, but never really answered. So i am asking it again.
Is it possible to snap to points inside symbols? I have only ever been able to snap to symbol points, but never such things as mid-points, end-points, or even objects within a symbol. Right now i just have to kind of eyeball placement of symbols, or remember the dimensions of their components to get them where i want them.
If i am not just missing something here, or have corrupt files (as the original asker seemed to think: http://www.ilexsoft.com/forum/viewtopic ... mbol#p1724 ), it would be nice if this feature could be added to the next release (assuming there will be one).

Re: Snapping inside Symbols?
Hi Matthew,
Sorry this isn't helpful, but I can confirm that snapping to elements inside symbols does not work for me either. I have tested various symbols in various files and they all give me the same result.
I am surprised that this hasn't been more of an issue before. I agree it would be essential to implement this in the next version (unless it further prolongs our wait, in which case I would be happy for it to follow on as a fix... .
cheers,
derek
