multiple copy with no constraint

Post by macitect »

Hope it is self explanatory, if not here is an example:

I have imported a dxf with trees. Somehow all the trees have come in as lines instead of circles. Instead of duplicating each time I want to be able to draw ONE circle pick it up and drop off duplicates at all the old trees in one command.

cheers

Okay, let me see if I get it right: a multiple copy command that can create the copies at non-aligned locations. Perhaps like a stamp tool.

Yep. It is available in, well, you know, that other CAD program... When you do copy, you can hit M for multiple then just paste it in many locations with a base point that you choose.

You could call it that, but I haven't really encountered other "stamp" tools, so I am not sure if we're sharing the same reference...
