Flip page?

Post by macitect »

When printing is there a way to flip the page? My printer/HD config always puts the larger margin on the right hand side when printing landscape format and I want the larger margin on the left for binding purposes. I have been putting an invisible line on that side to push the print over, but I am hoping that I can just flip the way it prints...

thanks

I find that selecting, in Page Setup, the alternate Landscape orientation icon to the one you are using changes the broader vertical margin to the other end of the sheet. Is this what you are asking ?

Thanks for the reply, Peter.

I am not getting an alternate option... Is this what you see? Is there another section of the page setup that I need to open?

No ...... I get three page orientation icons. The two you have plus another landscape that has the figure reversed at 180º to the one you have here ...... maybe it is a printer thing.
I only have a printer capable of 11x17 here in the office, Epson Stylus 1280.

Are you using a printer capable of D size? Do you have a letter size printer that you can hook up and check to see if you get the third icon ??????

Maybe it's in the Print version. I am still using OS 10.3.9 on the old 450mhz G4 here but I know I have the three icons on my Macbook Pro at home using 10.4 something ... are you guys running 10.5. ?

Yep, on 1.5 here...

It could also be a printer thing... although I really don't know. I'll post back if I figure anything else. Thanks for the input, guys.

Didn't have time yesterday to try to figure out how to attach an actual Grab Shot of that Page Setup Pane with the three orientation icons.

It looks like I have attached this Grab Shot but I can't see the actual picture just a reference to the file.

Here's hoping ....... !!!!

Yes ...... I know it doesn't help you much does it but I wanted to try the attachment.

Are you saying Derek that you can see the attachment in my Post ? All I see is a link which brings it up when clicked.
