My printing company is having a heck of a time with my PDF files. I've tried many permutations, but dimensions randomly disappear, even though they show up when you view the PDF on screen. If I recall correctly, it's usually vertical dimensions that disappear.
Im assuming it's their print driver. Seems darn strange that I can see the dims, but they don't print out.
Here's what I've had to do so far to get PDF to sorta work, or oddities I've encountered.
* using the 'export to PDF' feature in HD: sometimes it stalls out & crashes HD. When it does complete, the printer won't print it at all, complains about collapsing layers to print.
* using the 'print' feature, then 'save as PDF' works better, but I have to do a few extra steps:
- save each sheet as a seperate document
- make sure all items are on ONE layer
- update the view/sheet
- delete all other layers, views and sheets in the project before I print/save as PDF. I tried every combination of deleting other layers/sheets/views before I figured this out.
Anyone else had similar wierdness with PDFs in 1.7.2 ?
