GRADUATED FILL

Post by peatle »

Does anyone know a way of achieving a graduated fill or shade in HD?

I could use this to indicate the presence of a curved portion of steel plate in a drawing. It would possibly take the form of a rectangle with shading that graduated from a dark grey on the left vertical side to a light grey on the right.

Thanks ~ Peter

I've tried several ideas but can not seem to find a way to do this with graduated fills... seems like the ugly way to do this would be to export the shape to photoshop, build the gradient, then import it back as a image... arrange send to back.

I checked this query with Andrea .. he says that they are working on it for inclusion at some time in the future.

I have achieved a less pictorial effect by using a series of vertical lines that gradually increase in spacing as the curve comes around to the flattest face .. it is the way that I do it on the board and conveys the idea.
