Seganalazioni e consiglia

Post by Guest »

Salve,

Thanks Tripp for the helpful link. This forum is intended to be English-only for the benefit of all. So, here is the English version of my previous reply.

Thanks for pointing it out (D'oh!), already fixed.
Anonymous wrote:- I noticed that if I make a rotated rectangle and I hold Shift I don't get a square. Is it a missing feature or is there a way to make a square?
In order to make a rotated square you have to set the height of the rectangle equal to its base. To do so, push the "L" key after tracing the baseline.
Anonymous wrote:- How do I set the exact measures of a rectangle? The constrained length tool apparently sets the diagonal. Do I have to make the polygon and then edit it?
Orthogonal rectangles (not rotated) can have their sides set by using the X and Y commands, which are relative to the start point of the rectangle.
For rotated rectangles you can use the constrained length command to set baseline and height.
Anonymous wrote:- Is it correct as an Offset method to duplicate the item and place it by using the Constrain Length and Shift key? Is there any way to set a distance that is really constant and does not change with the position of the cursor?
Yes, you can set a fixed angle or a right-angle condition. Then you can set a fixed length and place the item.
Anonymous wrote:- Before switching to the Mac I was used to AutoCAD and its "Near" snap. I think that in HighDesign it is included in the Snap to Object, isn't it? I cannot clearly understand how it works.
In HighDesign, Snap to Object includes and automatically enables many of the snap modes of AutoCAD. Snap mode "Near" gets activated simply by moving the pointer close to an item. Other snap modes are available in the same manner: endpoint, midpoint, center, tangent, right-angle and intersections.

Thanks for your comments. My apologies for not replying before.
