Hi Trevor, That's an interesting idea! We use RSS feeds all the time and having one for these forums would indeed be a time-saver for us too. I don't think this forum software supports RSS directly, but maybe there are some utilities we can use to compile and publish the RSS page automatically. Than...

Steven,

California is probably the state with the highest number of HighDesign users, along with Texas and NY. Anyway, you should bear in mind that only a tiny fraction of all the HighDesign users are actually members of this forum, and of those only a few participate actively.

Re: strange behaviour

how to add a sample in forum? You can add a link to an image hosted on a server by adding the Img tag. Most internet providers include some megabytes of web hosting, as well as a .Mac account, so you can upload the image to your server and display it here by inserting its address between the Img ta...

I draw a steel section with line tool and then i fill with hatch. when i try di calculate the area of the two obj the result is different. why? Maybe the outline includes arcs or other curves. When applied to a shape made of discrete elements, Calculate Area works with line objects only and discard...

Line Area = 3' 23-9/16" Hatch Area = 0'37" Both area results are technically mistated. This is something that I thought was fixed earlier. In engilsh, the results should be with square feet or square inches as units. This is fixed for the next update: Now area values are expressed in deci...

I had coverted my bearing from degrees, min, sec to decimal to get the 34.6169 value. The original bearing is 34 degrees, 36 min, 59 sec. Your comment above states a bearing "N 34.61.69 E". I'm confused. Sorry, that was a typo: The last line should be "34.6169", not "34.61....
