Re: PDFs in Mavericks

Update: I removed my HP printer from the list of printers and then reinstalled it using the most recent driver from HP. That has fixed the PDF problem. However, i can still not get it to print to paper correctly. It prints shifted to the upper right corner. So the bottom left corner of my print area...

Re: PDFs in Mavericks

I did a quick look in the Apple forums, but did not find anything particularly relevant. I will poke around in it some more later when i have a bit more time. I was able to print to PDF from HD in Mavericks when i first upgraded. It has only been a recent problem. So, in trying to figure out what co...

Re: PDFs in Mavericks

Update: I can now open PDFs regardless of what program they were originally created from, but i still cannot create PDFs from HD. I have no problem creating PDFs on my MacBook which is still running Snow Leopard. But my iMac running Mavericks will no longer create PDFs from HD. It goes through the m...

PDFs in Mavericks

I have recently been experiencing some problems with PDFs associated with HD in Mavericks. I cannot create PDFs from HD, though i can from any other program. Nor can i open PDFs that were originally created from HD using PDF Pen or Preview. They will open with Adobe Reader, i can view them in my bro...

Re: OS X Mavericks

Has anyone download Mavericks?

If so, how is HD doing on the new operating system? It is enticing to upgrade (especially since it is free) but would like to know how it will affect HD before i do.

Re: Autocad

I think mostly due to my experiencing importing, i have only ever exported line work for use in AutoCAD. Never really tried to deal with text.

I have never had any issues with either DWG or DXF for line work exports. Again, line types do not seem to translate well, but otherwise no issues.

Re: Autocad

I have only exported drawings for AutoCAD a few times, but have imported on many occasions. My experience is that the text is always messed up. This may have to do with the scale i am importing them in at or something, but i have tried several things and text always seems to come in with no size. So...

BLOG

I have taken to writing a blog on my website. If you are interested, you can check it out at:

And, by the way, the whole website received a bit of a redesign relatively recently.

Re: drawing with different scale

This topic was discussed to some extent in another thread: http://www.ilexsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=607 I too came from AutoCAD to HD. As such i tried very hard at first to make HD behave like AutoCAD. While there are advantages to the way AutoCAD uses viewports, HD's system is quite fl...

Re: Equal Scale

Could you please clarify what exactly it is you are trying to do?

I am not seeing what the difference would be between the scales. A scale of 1:1 is independent of the units is it not?

Re: copy and set properties

The behavior seems to be somewhat sporadic. I honestly have just now started to notice the strangeness of this problem because i had just incorporated activating the selection tool prior to setting copies into my work flow. I generally just use escape to get out of the active tool (which makes the s...

Try activating the selection tool prior to pasting the properties.

Re: stretching

As to the question of hatches. The most notably missing are as you mentioned concrete, as well as a plain stipple, gravel, and an earth hatch. Some people have created symbols that can be tiled for some of these, but i tend to find these solutions less than satisfactory as well. As such i have creat...
