Re: HighDesign on OS X Lion

I was seriously convinced that HD was dead... It is very cruel of you to show us such a tantalising image without at least giving us some sort of indication of when we can expect the next version (and whether we will have to have already upgraded to Lion or not). Are you in a position where you can ...

I had given up hope that there would be an update... Will it be any time soon?

Re: hatches help

Hi Simon, I find the best way to deal with hatching elevations is the following; 1. place hatches on their own layer (for better control and isolating etc) 2. put a solid white fill at the back of any door/window/opening and group it or make a symbol 3. place door/window/opening over hatch 4. when c...

Re: grouping sheets?

Hi Alessandro,

I have used Project Views to organise my projects for a long time. You simply turn on or off all the sheets and layers you require to create your "page" and then click on the little plus symbol on the bottom right of the Views palette.

cheers,
derek

Re: importing tables help requd

My only problem with PDF has been that when I crop them using preview they aren't actually cropped - so when I've placed them in HD the part that I erased comes back. Therefore I found it easier to crop and then save as an image file. I suppose if you can crop it properly there shouldn't be any prob...

Re: importing tables help requd

Hi Simon, I've had to do this many times and I'm sorry to tell you that the best way is to save an image out of excel... I've always found that tiffs work best. Just keep the excel file up to date and reimport when you need to. Self built tables in HD have been a bit of a nightmare for me so I've do...

printing

In case I haven't mentioned this before; I would really love the ability to send multiple Project Views to print/plot in one go. Failing that compatibility with automator so that we can script that kind of functionality for ourselves (come to think of it compatibility with automator would be great f...

Re: Merging two or more shapes?

I've been meaning to put Boolean operations on the wish list for quite some time...

It would be great for shadowing slightly more complex (curved) shapes. Thanks for raising this, guys.

Re: Somewhat shameless plug

I've been hoping for a long time that the pub section on here would become a forum for exactly this sort of thing - share ideas, post good drawings, presentations, competitions etc. I followed your link and had a good look at most of the entries. In the end I did vote for you, although to be fair th...

Re: Displaying sill messes up hatch.

Does this happen even if they are further apart? I can't reproduce it, I've got no problems here displaying sill... Could it be the scale of the drawing or maybe the proximity of the windows?

Re: Crossing walls do not intersect

Unfortunately not that I've ever found... I think it is the nature of the wall tool that it cannot yet do that. I've always found that doing the 3 walls is an easy enough work-around though.

Perhaps it is worth putting on to the wish list before they release the much anticipated v2.0...
