delete multiple styles, sheets & views
Aloha, My auto-recovered file has duplicated all of my views and styles :( . To make matters worse, my styles were already doubled because I used the File->Merge feature! My style list is huge. I'd like the ability to delete multiple views or styles at once, just like I can delete multiple layers us...

symbol wishes
I'm sharing HD files with other users & we're having a hard time with symbols. We don't have the same custom symbol libraries, so I spend a lot of time trying to figure out what is missing (is that a toilet? a sink? a shower? a houseplant? ) I don't know what is missing, or where HD is looking f...

need 1.7.1 download
Is the HD 1.7.1 download still available online? I have a very old iBook I'm using while my fancy-pants Mac is in for repairs. I have OSX 10.3.5 on the iBook & I'm hoping that HD 1.7.1 will do ok on the older OSX. I'm definitely going to miss the 1.8 features this week! Not sure how I'll cope wi...

1.8.3 on i Book G4?
Is anyone successfully running 1.8.3 (or 1.8.2) on an iBook G4? I'm getting a hand-me-down G4 & want to use it as my backup machine, but won't bother if HD won't run on it!

Re: help. Lost my Object Info Palette!
Andrew, thank you so much for the "Default Window Size" in 1.8.3. It's fantastic! I just lost my Object Palette again & this saves me from unplugging & rebooting without my secondary monitor. Hooray!

Re: help. Lost my Object Info Palette!
Fixed it! It has something to do with a secondary monitor. I unhooked the second monitor, rebooted my laptop & opened HD. The object palette re-appeared. I hooked the second monitor back up, rebooted & Object Palette is still there. Thank goodness! I've also copied the correct value for my o...

Re: help. Lost my Object Info Palette!
Hrmf. That didn't fix it. Just sent an email to support. I'm pretty sure I got the values "inside" the correct parameters, since I used the other palette bounds & stayed somewhere in the middle of their values. That didn't work, so I directly copied your values :) Here's what was in pl...

Re: Styles
I can confirm. This definitely happens even if you are not using styles. I have only tried to work with styles on three occasions. I've had trouble every time & completely deleted styles. They aren't in my workflow at all normally, but I get the lingering arrow/marker when I go from dimensions t...

key code for shortcut plist?
Aloha Andrew, I can't get a few of my shortcuts to 'stick', so I'm going to manually edit the Shortcuts.plist. I can't figure out which <key> corresponds to the commands I want to shortcut tho! Could you send me the key value for these three tools (so I can fill in the 'string' field) * hide other l...

Re: Styles - multiple dimension
Has anyone been able to save a style with the *multiple* linear dimension (MLD) tool? I select MLD, then create a style with tool specific properties, yet the style reverts to (single) linear dimension. I use multiple dimensioning a lot more than single dimensions. If there's a trick to MLD styles, ...

help. Lost my Object Info Palette!
My Object Info window has disappeared. I've tried show/hide, reboot, restart HD, open new document, etc. Nothing works. I also upped the resolution on my monitor, in the hopes that I had accidentally pushed it off the screen, but I can't find it. Anyone had this happen before or know of a way to for...

shrink text areas to 'fit'
I'd like the option to shrink my text areas to fit the text I've entered. I often make my text boxes too large & have to go back to make them smaller. A separate command, or maybe a checkbox in the text properties?

enforce a set drawing area
I'd like to set a defined area where items are allowed to exist. For example, if my page is 36" x 24", I'd like to set a drawing boundary of 72" x 72"...anything that is accidentally moved/copied outside that boundary would throw a warning error & not proceed. Every project I...

wall intersections kaflooey on ungroup
OUCH. I just grouped my completed floor plan so I could move it. When I ungrouped all of my wall intersections are broken (meaning they don't intersect nicely). I have to touch each corner, slightly dragging the control point away, then back, to fix them. corner problem.jpg Which leads to my questio...

window & door schedules made 'easy'(?)
I've been struggling with a simple way to make window and door schedules. MS (hiss!) Excel to the rescue (or I bet Open Office will work to). * create your nicely formatted schedule in Excel. * export as PDF * open the PDF in (OSX) Preview * save as JPG * open the JPG in OSX Preview * crop the extra...
