Re: Spaces

I use Spaces all the time (HD is set on desktop 5 out of 6). side note: to switch among spaces i use to click on the dock icons but some apps don't work as expected (open their window menu in the current space instead o...

Re: newbie with 1.8.5 questions

nice to hear you solved your major prob, Roy when a new version of HD will be out and you will download it from Ilexsoft web site remember to simply drag n' drop the whole HighDesign folder from the .dmg archive to you Application folder... too simple to be true if, like me, you switched from Win/Li...

Re: newbie with 1.8.5 questions

are you saying you don't have a "HighDesign 1.8.5 Universal" folder in your Application folder? if so then Alex should be right... you never install it correctly. I may be wrong but I guess HD stores your license info somewhere in your disk in a file that is not related to where your HigDe...

Re: newbie with 1.8.5 questions

Hi Roy I confirm the default lib is in .../Application/HighDesign 1.8.5 universal/Symbol Library; if you don't see it maybe you've unintentionally moved/removed it... try the search engine. The "gear" icon is in the Symbol Library menu which appears when you double-click the "library&...

Re: offset + bezier curve

here i go again...
I tried to do some tests in Rhino, exported as dxf (default settings) and imported into HD... but i seem to lose the parallelism between the original and the offset lines this way... [confused]

cheers,
Alessandro

offset + bezier curve

Hi!
Does Offset work with Bezier curve? I tried several times but had no success... btw any other way to create a free-curved wall? It would be *very* nice to have the "convert to wall" tool available for arcs and bezier too... thank you!

Re: Section + Elevation workflow

Derek,
if you don't mind I'd like to see that file too... i still have to find the touch about HD sheets organization.
i think you can send me a mail through the forum features but, if not so, i can give you another mail address via PM.
thank you very much,

Best regards,
Alessandro

Re: Flip an existing window

Thank you Derek! you made me think in the right direction... i had a (blocked) reference layer with a jpg in backgroung so when i right-click on an object HD selected/deselected it and when I moved away and right-click i had HD trying to select the blocked layer :( just hiding the reference layer so...

Re: Flip an existing window

this is odd. right click doesn't bring up the contextual menu, nor does control+click. Is there any way to get to the contextual menu? I'd love to use "invert opening direction". same problem here... anyone found a solution? I really need this feature... right click/ctrl click works perfe...

Re: website update

The 2Ds are there, but admittedly small. I've submitted a few projects to the guys here at Ilexsoft for their galleries. They tell me there will be an update to their site in the near future and they'll hold off adding them until then. woops... i missed the "view more design" option. wow ...

Re: High Design with Sketchup

Thank you Derek! this helps me a lot... i'm loving HD more and more every day and i'd like to add SU to my workflow. i sometimes make simple things with the free version but i'm not sure if it's worth to buy pro (like bonzai3d too, for the same price... or free SU+ViaCAD pro for a half) Cheers, Ales...

Re: High Design with Sketchup

Hi folks!

I sometimes use HD .dxf to make SU models starting from the groundfloor but how do you export from SU to HD?

thank you!
