Thank you, that is very helpful! There is a new beta that (hopefully) addresses the problem with File > Open.

Re: HighDesign 2017.1 BETA 4

Thanks for the replies. HighDesign defines dwg files as "DWG", so the "DWG Document" type is probably defined by another software.

There is a new beta: HighDesign 2017.1b7
Please test both the File > Open and File > Import commands, as they both now allow to open .dwg and .dxf files.

Re: HighDesign 2017.1 BETA 4

Thanks for the feedback! We are still unable to reproduce the problem on our machines, but the added details were helpful to build a new beta. Please download HighDesign 2017.1b6 and test the Import feature.

Andrew, so If I purchased 2016 Pro via Apple App Store, I don't have one year free updates? If this is the case, what are my options to update to 2017 Pro? -Rudy Rudy, unfortunately the App Store makes it impossible for developers to implement upgrades and renewals. However, we want to do all we ca...

Re: HD2017 doesn't recognise .dwg file

We are investigating this situation, but we haven't been able to reproduce it so far. There are other ways to open a DWG: Open with... from the contextual menu in the Finder, or by dragging the file to the application icon or onto an open window. Do those methods work for you? Thanks!

Re: How to change the scale of an imported DXF or PDF file?

Hi Scott, in HighDesign you can resize the drawing just as in SketchUp, just more easily: 1. Find an item of known length in the drawing. No need to select or group anything. 2.
