Re: Equal Scale

My mistake. I imported a dwg drawing and it switched the scale to 1"-1' when printed. Redid the import and all is well.

Equal Scale

How do I scale a drawing so when printed out I get 1"=1". All I seem to be able to do is 1'=1'.

Re: Magic Mouse

The problem with the Magic Mouse is the it is easy to inadvertently pass your finger across the surface causing it to zoom. With the ball on the older mouse you have to deliberately work the ball. Any other Magic Mouse users out there?

Magic Mouse

New Apple Magic Mouse zooms into drawing rather than scolling when using the up and down finger motion. Very annoying.

Found the problem. Symbols can only be moved by selecing object, clicking on the move function on the top tool bar. Just selecting the object and then cursor turns to hollow cursor to activate move function works for lines but not symbols. Inconsistent implementation?

Moving Symbols

I inserted a "North Arrow" symbol and now can only move it by the keyboard arrow keys. The click and drag doesn't work as it does with all other objects. Am I doing something wrong?

One final coment. I figured out my problem was that the "syntax" for entering bearing needs to N 34 36 59 E not N 34.36.59 E or N 34 36' 59" E (since the degree character in not easily found on keyboard). The Manual should include a bearing examples.

You said: "enter the first angle, i.e. "N 34.6169 E" and press Return, push "L", enter the distance (107.18') and press Return. This makes a line directed to N 34.61.69 E and 107.18ft long." I had coverted my bearing from degrees, min, sec to decimal to get the 34.6169 ...

Thanks. The bearing function is outstanding. Kind of hidden though. Quick Ref and manual is not too good for this.

I'm liking HD more and more. AND the support and late in the evening in Italy.

Survey Measuments

This may be beyond a support question but any ideas would be appreciated. I'm trying to replicate a land survey diagram that shows land lines as compass measurements in degrees and feet. For example, N 34.6169 E (107.18 ft) S 80.267 E (207.84 ft) N 45.0125 E (91.88 ft) N 43.75 E (96.03) N 20.094 E (...
