Look at your Help menu/quick reference/drawing/set the start point at a fixed distance...
I use the L thing a lot for technical drawing although sometimes it is easier to draw construction lines. Well take a look !

I think your shortcut has been changed !
For me, in the standard edition of HD, command-Q do quit the application and "print preview" is assigned ctrl-command-P...
However, you can change your shortcuts in the pro version of HD (in the preferences panel I guess).

Well, it's true. When I reduce a little bit my Print Area, it works. Like Andrew said in an old post, there are troubles with some printers.
